Who is the Alien?

I confess I am an animations fanatic, I love every Disney movie and I try to watch every other animation that comes out. I have wanted to watch this movie for the longest time, so Friday I went to Blockbuster and finally got Planet 51. The Alien versus Human theme has been very popular lately, with District 9, Avatar and this movie doesn’t stay behind. It starts by showing us life in a different planet, where the little green aliens live their lives normally just like we do. In that planet a movie is about to be released, a movie about Aliens (that coincidentally, or not) look a lot like humans in an astronaut suit. Later a human lands in the planet, and that is where the whole adventure begins, while the human comes in piece and think he is in an alien planet all the “aliens” think he came to eat their brains, since he is the one who is considered the alien there.

The movie was funny and entertaining but definitely not the best animation I have seen. The graphics are still really good and the characters are well developed. Although with some cliche parts, like most children’s movie, there still a lot of funny moments. The astronaut is not very bright, an there is a alien who is a geek and believes his government is hiding “alien” remains in a secret base in the desert. With light comedy and some action, this movie is perfect to watch with the family or just when yo are bored looking for an easy laugh and nothing that requires a lot of thinking or paying attention, which might not be best, but let’s be real, sometimes that is all you want.
